Soothsayer

I have waved the worn wooden
wand before you,

demonstrated lush networks of
fortune that have then been made lost.

I have brought words shepherded
among valleys, woven from wool,

tapestries plaited in vegetable
dye, grains in grassy hues,

wise texts rebuilt again and again,
recycled through eons

and star-speckled epochs.
Minor prophets shaping textiles

out of particle dust.
